Tata Motors is making waves in the world of safe cars! Their new Safari and Harrier SUVs have achieved something big. They got a top-notch 5-star rating for keeping both grown-ups and kids safe. This rating comes from the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat-NCAP), which checks how safe cars are.
This is a first-time honor for any cars in India. Tata Motors is super proud because it shows how serious they are about making cars that are really safe.
These SUVs have some cool safety stuff inside:
- There are 7 airbags in total, with 6 of them being in every version of the cars.
- Something called Electronic Stability Control comes standard. It helps keep the car steady.
- Every row has 3-point seatbelts, and there’s a reminder for everyone to wear their seatbelts.
- They have Isofix tethers, which help secure child seats better.
- The seatbelts are smart – they can retract, hold tight, and release if needed to keep you safe.
- The cars are built extra strong to protect people better in crashes.
A big government person, Shri Nitin Gadkari ji, praised Tata Motors for this. He thinks it’s a great thing for car safety in India.
The head of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, Mr. Shailesh Chandra, thanked everyone for noticing how safe their cars are. He says safety is really important for them.
These SUVs are made on a special platform that makes them super safe. They don’t just have a 5-star rating from Bharat-NCAP but also from another safety program called G-NCAP.
Tata Motors wants to keep making cars that are safer and better for all of us who drive on Indian roads. They’re working hard to make sure everyone is safe when they’re on the move.
